Pouilly-Vinzelles "En Paradis", France, 2015
Chardonnay

Already known to the Romans, Vinzelles takes its name from the latin vincella which means small vine. The distinctive feature of the village of Vinzelles is the presence of two "châteaux" separated by just a few metres: a fortified castle from the 11th century and the other from the 13th and 17th centuries. Continuing from the predominantly limestone slopes of Chaintré and Fuissé, the vineyards of Pouilly-Vinzelles are exclusively planted with Chardonnay and closely resemble those wines from its neighbour Pouilly-Fuissé.

Tasting notes: The Pouilly-Vinzelles "En Paradis" 2015 offers a pale yellow colour and reveals a rich nose, slighlty buttered with hints of white fruits. In the mouth it is ample and round, with a lovely minerality on the finish.

Ferrari-Carano Reserve Chardonnay, Napa Valley, 2014
Chardonnay

The grapes for the 2014 Reserve Chardonnay come primarily from our vineyard in Napa Valley Carneros. The cool climate of Napa Valley Carneros imparts its unique finesse to the wine, while the Alexander Valley component adds an intensely rich mouth-filling character.

Tasting notes: This wine has elegant, upfront aromas and flavors of quince, apple, cinnamon, caramel, citrus, butter, pear, vanilla, graham cracker, peach, crème brûlée and hazelnut complemented by a lingering, toasted oak finish.

Deep garnet hue. Aromas of Bing cherry, raspberry, savory dried herbs, violet and forest floor lift elegantly from the glass.

Tasting notes: On the palate, layers of blood orange and hibiscus are framed by broad tannins, coastal minerality and brilliant acidity that culminate in a lengthy finish.

This blend marries several outstanding vineyards from around the Russian River Valley, taking advantage of varied climates, with each vineyard contributing its unique site characteristics to the extended layers of richness and complexity.

Tasting notes: A fresh, vivacious style of Chardonnay with perfect balance, combining a full palate with generous fruit flavors, finesse and elegance. This Russian River blend offers a delicate floral and fruit bouquet with spicy undertones, flint and citrus aromas. On the palate, a supple attack with thirst-quenching Meyer lemon, tart apricot, starfruit, lime zest and a beautiful saline quality. Racy acidity accentuates the long, savory, slightly nutty finish. This wine combines satisfying richness with minerality, precision, pure Russian River Valley typicity and poise.

This deeply colored Cabernet is bursting with aromas of spicy dark plum, crushed blackberries and wild raspberry. 

Tasting notes: The complex layers of spice and mocha chocolate on the palate are framed in rich, velvety tannins with a long lingering finish.

Pinot Grigio

This celebrated variety derives from a bud mutation of Pinot Noir. Pinot Grigio favours cooler climates and finds its ideal habitat on the hillsides. Livio Felluga's vinification technique gives the wine finesse and elegance while preserving the faint coppery highlights that are Pinot Grigio's hallmark. Without doubt, it is the best-known Friulian wine around the world. 

Tasting notes: Well-structured, embracing and savory; notes of apricot and clementine combine with hints of whipped cream, almond milk, pistachio fading towards aromas of nettle.

The word “Saldo” is of Latin origin often referring to “from here and there” or in this case, representing our sourcing of Zinfandel from regions “here and there” across Northern California.

Tasting notes: Dark ruby color with bold aromas of black licorice, black pepper, cherry, and baking spice. The entry is rich, full, and scintillating. The palate is mouthwatering and smooth with a hint of chocolate. The finish is voluptuous with soft, velvety tannins.

Battle Creek Cellars Unconditional Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, 2015
Pinot Noir

The Unconditional Pinot Noir is a rich, round and dark expression of the warm and ripe 2015 vintage in Oregon. The aromatics are full of blackberry, black cherry, jasmine and cedar.

Tasting notes: The entry is dark and brambly and continues the theme of black fruit accompanied by Christmas spices and sweet wood. The wine rounds in the mouth and delivers a full, long finish with velvety tannins and hints of sandalwood.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Made from Cabernet Sauvignon grown exclusively on Mt. Veeder, with soils that tend to be shallow and allow for less vigor in the vines. This wine exhibits tremendous backbone and is ideal for cellaring.

Tasting notes: The wine offers the distinctive black fruit characteristics of blackberry and plum and tends to have enhanced tannins and tightness that is typical of Mt. Veeder.

Hanzell ‘Sebella’ is crafted predominately from the younger vines on our estate. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in neutral French oak barrels, Hanzell ‘Sebella’ captures our classic minerality, bright fruit, and signature aroma of Chardonnay flowers in bloom. Enjoy today for its youthful exuberance or cellar for many years of further enjoyment.

Tasting notes: High-toned aromas of orange blossoms, lemon verbena and lime zest give way to scents of papaya, pineapple, crushed rock and linen. The flavors of pear, pink grapefruit and orange cream are long and true to the nose. The broad entry and full-bodied silky mouthfeel is balanced by mouth-watering acidity which gives the wine juiciness and a long, structured finish.

Pinot Noir

This dark red colored Pinot Noir from the Anderson Valley opens with Delicious aromas of rose petal and tea leaves are followed by bright cherries. This wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory.

Tasting notes: On the palate, the elegant personality is revealed by pomegranate and blueberry with subtle black licorice. Supple and silky with structed tannins exhibits the restrained quality that Anderson Valley lends to the overall impression of a wine.

Our Rosé is made in a style reminiscent of those found in the Provence region of France. The color is a bright, very pale salmon. The aromas are classic with delicate scents of red berries and rose pedal.. It is a low 12.8% alcohol, which adds to the refreshing style of this wine making it a perfect wine for light summer cuisine!

Tasting notes: The palate is crisp and refreshing with flavors of raspberry and cherry which linger on its gentle finish.
